I appreciated this book first for its digestible exposition of the shifting philosophies of truth and its effect on societal attitudes towards faith across time. These writings shed light on the context behind the current perceptions of Christian faith in our society and campus. Second, the book prompted me to seriously reflect on the relevance of campus ministry – in critically engaging with the different worldviews we encounter in school, and spurring one another on in living out the faith. Finally, the discussions on faith and academics reminded me of the imperative to mature in Christ-likeness in all areas of my life, the privilege we students have to experience God in our studies, and how our common academic pursuits can help us engage fellow students in a meaningful and relevant manner.
