Reverentia: ISCF Combined Worship Night

Reverentia: The Heart of Worship was a worship night held in collaboration with NTU, NUS, SIM, and SKETCH ISCF. Held on 13 March at Grace SCC Church, this collaboration made the event especially meaningful, as it brought together students from different fellowships to worship God as one body. As the lead of this event, it was very precious for me to witness not only the final programme, but also the journey of the many committees working together with one shared purpose: to glorify God.

Through leading and serving alongside the different committees, I experienced the heart of worship more deeply. I learnt that worship is not limited to singing or being on stage, but can also be expressed through planning, ushering, operating slides, creating videos, documenting moments, and most importantly, faithfully using the different gifts God has given each of us. In many ways, all of us became instruments of exaltation, offering our roles and efforts back to Him.

One of the highlights of the event was the sermon on Elijah, centred on the reminder to “be still and know that I am God” (Psa 46:10). In the midst of the busyness and noise of student life, this message reminded us that God is present not only in the extraordinary, but also in the stillness and gentle whisper. I believe the event impacted both ISCF members and guests by drawing hearts back to God and reminding us of what worship truly means. Like Elijah, may we learn to recognise Him not just in the extraordinary, but also in the stillness and gentle whisper.

I look forward to more events like this in the future. May God continue to use ISCF for His work and bless many more people across campuses!
